AS military conflict rages in Iraq, Brazilian advertisers are using pictures of US President George W Bush and his arch-foe President Saddam Hussein to promote the war on cockroaches.
Hundreds of posters touting the services of an exterminator and showing the two worried-looking presidents appeared at hundreds of bus stops across Rio de Janeiro today.
The poster showing the Iraqi president bears the words: “You can die of envy Saddam. The world approves of our chemical weapons.”
And the one with Bush’s likeness says: “Calm down, Mr President. Our chemical weapons only kill cockroaches.”
